Africa’s collective input to the 2015 Meeting of the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development


The Economic Commission for Africa jointly with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) convened the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development from 17 to 18 June, 2015. The Forum brought together high-level representatives of African member states together with all relevant stakeholders. The main objective of the Forum was to enable African countries to deliberate and agree on Africa’s collective input in the form of key messages to HLPF 2015. The agreed key messages are presented as follows.
